I have some updates – good and bad – on WOMEN OF COLOR IN TECH.
Whenever I have both good news and bad news, I like to start with the bad news first to get it out of the way. That way the good news feels all the more nice and sweet to take in 🙂 Here goes.
The bad news
The physical copies of the book will be delayed. While the book’s release date is April 14, the book’s distribution center was closed to ensure the health and safety of the distribution center’s staff (a very good call that I can’t and won’t argue with; the health and safety of everyone is paramount). I can’t offer a date or timeframe as to when it will reopen or when shipments of the book will happen.
The Goodreads giveaway will continue as planned, and the winners will still receive a signed physical copy of the book. But again, the actual shipping date or timeframe cannot be confirmed at this time.
The good news
The ebook edition of the book is now available for download on Amazon.com, Wiley.com, and Apple Books. It will become available with other book retailers on or before Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Ebook purchases made at Wiley.com are eligible for a 20% discount with code WCT20 for a limited time.
We will also be continuing with the online panel discussion event on April 14 as well. We have amazing panelists lined up and we will be announcing the final line-up shortly.
Thank you for your support. It’s been a challenging time, but your support and positivity have made the difference. I’m grateful to you all.
